Flight Training :: Jet Provost T5A
GFW Aeroservices presents an exciting opportunity for those who like "adventure" and a bit of "aviation history." Sitting in one of its hangars at the Nashua, NH airport is an FAA-approved fully-functional, airworthy Jet Provost T5A. A British-built trainer that seats two side-by-side, this aircraft is capable of speeds up to 440mph (382 knots) at 25,000 feet and is fully aerobatic. The Jet Provost was in service from 1955 to 1993 for the Royal Air Force with many variants and even though its primary mission was to train pilots new to the world of jet flying, it was also utilized in air warfare and tactical weapons training as well as an advanced trainer. The T5A model was developed in the late 60s with increased thrust, upgraded avionics and also added pressurization.
At $1800/hour (which includes fuel and instructor), this aircraft is available for one-hour adventures, or if you feel like you're up for the challenge, an additional jet type rating that can be added to your pilot's certificate.
